The reader feels a great deal of empathy towards Monique as she shows feelings of abandonment, rejection, sexual depravation and loneliness (not only expressed in adulthood at the loss of her husband but also during her childhood). I know Larry is smarter than this. I enjoyed this book. This makes Celia go crazy.
The story is really much, much more complex than I've described. What an honest self-portrait the author has created! The bottom line is to take your life into your own hands by advocating for yourself and researching as much as possible. It has much useful information for people who might model these structures. This book is an excellent resource for both clinicians with porn-addicted clients, and for the clients themselves. Exactly the book I needed for less than half of what the college bookstore wanted.. Don't expect to be able to put the book down once you pick it up. Particularly those who weren't patient listening to his paranoid rants. I dont know if this a
